Define theme: Theme is defined as a main idea or a meaning of a literary work which may be stated directly or indirectly.
Family: a group of people who are related to each other, living under the same name.
Examples of Family: "He said he often woke up during the night, checked on us, and read himself back to sleep." (Page 64) "I told Atticus I didn't feel very well and didnt think id go to school anymore if it was all right with him. Atticus sat down in the swing and crossed his legs.... 'You never went to school and you do all right, so ill just stay home too."
In your group work to together to define the theme as it pertains to the text. Each group member is responsible for providing 2-3 examples of the selected theme as exemplified in the text To Kill a Mockingbird. Quotes for each example should be provided and each person should provide an image or video to support the theme and their examples.

It suggests that the characters aren't people that try to have close relationships with other people. No, I don't know anyone who calls their parents by their first name.
