The Great Depression was a severe worldwide economic depression in the decade preceding World War II. The timing of the Great Depression varied across nations, but in most countries it started in 1930 and lasted until the late 1930s or middle 1940s.
What was the impact of the Great Depression?
The primary effect of the Great Depression was that it caused millions of workers to lose their jobs. Unemployment rose from 3% in 1929 to 25% by 1933. Also, more than 9,000 banks closed during the 1930s, causing millions of people to lose their life savings.

Stock Market And Banking Regulations, mass migration, societal change, job loss, etc.
